Blame Injury For My Loss - Costa

Paul Costa, who was well beaten by Isreal Adesanya in the recent UFC 253, has downplayed his loss as he credited it to an injury sustained before the fight.
Adesanya, aka The Last Stylebender, dismantled Costa in the second round of the fight with a TKO victory without breaking a sweat.
Costa said courtesy of his social media post that he wasn't in good condition during the fight due to a pre-existing injury.
The fight was just the second in history that two undefeated male fighters would slug it out for a championship.
Before the fight, The Last Stylebender had won 19 straight contests while Costa was undefeated in 13 career fights.
Adesanya, who is currently dominating the middleweight division, has made Anderson Silva, Robert Whittaker, and Yoel Romero light work.
After the win over Costa, the Nigerian-born said he would like to go up against Jared Cannonier, undefeated in three straight fights via TKO.
Cannonier is due to square up against Whittaker this October, and Adesanya will pay keen attention to what happens there.
