Dr. Amanda Hess was 9 months pregnant with complications, and was in the hospital to be induced into labor. She was putting on her gown when she overheard that a mother in another room needed an emergency delivery because her baby was in distress, but her doctor wasn’t available. Despite her own situation, Dr. Hess threw on another gown over her bare backside, put some over size boots over her flip-flops, and delivered the woman’s baby. Then she gave birth to her own baby an hour later.
