Super Eagles and Napoli FC Striker, Victor Osimhen has released an official statement rendering an apology to his club Napoli for flouting the club’s Covid-19 upon his participation in a New Year party which held in Lagos Nigeria.

It was gathered that Osimhen contracted COVID-19 virus after participating in the party in Nigeria.

Therefore, the former Super Eaglet striker who was reportedly fined by a two-week wage has asked for forgiveness from the club despite the financial deficit. Osimhen apologizes to the coach, the team, and the fans.

Osimhen put it on his Instagram story.

“I am so sorry for what happened. I was wrong to go to Nigeria at this moment, even if I have many loved ones over there, including my brothers.

“I was wrong to take part in the party I didn’t understand the severity of what I was doing. I apologize to the club, the coach, the team and the fans,”

Napoli was furious with Osimhen after details emerged on how he possibly tested positive for coronavirus.
